Green Delta Insurance PLC and SAJIDA Foundation recently signed an MoU, marking a major stride in enhancing the climate resilience of farmers and farming communities across Bangladesh.
This collaboration will introduce farmers to Weather Index-based Crop Insurance and Area Yield Index-based Crop Insurance, equipping them with an innovative financial shield against climate shocks. By reducing vulnerability to unpredictable weather and safeguarding harvests, these products will help secure livelihoods, strengthen food security, and empower rural communities to thrive in the face of climate change.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Anupam Das, Head of Impact Business, Green Delta Insurance PLC, and Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Director of the Microfinance Program, Sajida Foundation, alongside other distinguished representatives from both organizations.
Together, we are committed to building a more sustainable, secure, and resilient future for Bangladesh’s farmers.
