Green Delta Insurance PLC, in partnership with BRAC, continues its journey to protect farmers from the financial risks of unpredictable weather under the Weather Index Crop Insurance (Boro Rice) initiative.

Launched in 2022 with just 3,000 beneficiaries, this pioneering program has now expanded to over 30,000 farmers across multiple regions – empowering them with financial security and stability in times of climate uncertainty.

In 2024 alone, more than BDT 18 million in insurance claims were disbursed to support affected farmers.
Today, a cheque of BDT 2.1 million for Boro rice claims was ceremonially handed over to BRAC, received by Mr. Md. Belayet Hossan, Associate Director, Microfinance Program, BRAC.

Together, Green Delta Insurance PLC and BRAC are driving inclusive insurance solutions that ensure no farmer is left behind when nature strikes.
